What is Nano Ceramic Protect?

Ceramic Polymer Nanotechnology

Is the standard chemistry of virtually all protective products for automotive surface protection and beautification.

Ceramic Polymer Nanotechnology paint protection works on the atomic level as opposed to Silicon-based products that work on the molecular level.

The result is a surface that:

  • entirely repels water & oil
  • nearly self-cleaning
  • due to the anti-static properties imparted by the molecular 3D grid structure and the application procedures that produce the proper surface coating structure.
  • forms a protective, glossy layers of ceramic-like / Glass-like matrices on the vehicle‘s finish with very strong cross-linked covalent bonds.
  • However, the outstanding characteristic of Nano Ceramic Protect for hard painted surfaces lies in the fact that it is E
  • XTREMELY HARD! But, you ask, how hard is “extremely hard”?
  • An internationally recognized European-based testing laboratory tested the product and awarded to it a formal certification for hardness rated at 9H on the hardness scale.
  • To understand and appreciate what that means they rate steel at a hardness of 13H. Comparatively speaking, this means our premier product, Nano Ceramic Protect Hard 9H, is 69.2% as hard as steel! But, at the same time, it is crystal clear and flexible. Think of a thin sheet of stainless steel that was flexible, crystal clear and could be bonded to your car from a bottle! AMAZING!

To understand what Ceramic Polymer Nanotechnology is we should first explain what it ISN’T.

This will require an explanation of all of the standard car waxes and specialty finishes currently being mass marketed today. SILICON is the primary ingredient in nearly every commercial (wholesale, specialty, and retail) sealant, wax and protectant in virtually every standard product on the market today. It makes no difference if the products are described as containing Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Acrylic or Silicate, as all synthetic paint sealants utilize Silicone as the binding agent in order to form a film of temporary protection and gloss.

However, here is the problem with all of these products.

However, here is the problem with all of these products.

  • The Silicon Resin is highly sensitive to changes in pH (extremes in acidity & alkalinity.)
  • Premature breakdown due to:
    • Exposure to moderately alkaline materials like road grime (pH 9 or greater.)
    • Exposure to acidic pollutants like acid rain and Bird Droppings (pH 3 or lower.)
    • Exposure to UV rays.
    • Washing with strong detergents
  • The silicone resins will migrate from the finish causing insufficient protection and film failure. Regardless of how well maintained or how often the surface is washed, eventually due to ultra-violet exposure and the need for periodic reapplications.
  • The result is a form of enhancement and protection that is spotty and short-lived. For this reason these products tend to take on a life of their own. You are constantly attending to them because they require regular and continual attention to maintain both protection and appearance.
  • The real and important difference between Silicon-based products and Nano Ceramic chemistry is in the type of CHEMICAL BOND that is at work between the coating and the painted surface, and also between the individual layers of the Nano Ceramic coatings themselves. (In other words, how it sticks to the paint - or other automotive surfaces - and how it sticks to itself).
